Chicken thighs (Air Fryer), Nigerian Style

Crispy, juicy and fast — a Nigerian-inspired air fryer take on Chicken thighs with Peri-peri mayo and Arepa dough.

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs (about 794 g)
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley
  • Vinegar
  • Brown sugar
  • Cumin
  • Lime juice
  • Peri-peri mayo
  • Olive oil spray

Steps

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 394°F (201°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry; cut into even pieces for quick, even cooking.
  3. Toss with oil and seasonings until lightly coated.
  4. Arrange in a single layer in the basket—do not overcrowd.
  5. Air-fry for 9 minutes; shake or flip halfway for even browning.
  6. Continue cooking 12 minutes until crisp and cooked through.
  7. Rest 2–3 minutes to let juices redistribute.
  8. Serve hot with peri-peri mayo and arepa dough.
